    HELLO
    I have a bmw x3 e83 with 2d06 air-mass system fault and rough idling ... I also replaced air-mass sensor and same problem ....
    Can anyone help me out ?

    Check all the intake vacuum pipes and rocker cover pipe for any leaks.......

    Could you please explain when you say do coding do you mean to do Adaptation or, ECU Coding................?

    And if its coding than can you please tell us how coding would help fix this problem..............

    Hi, actually for this problem, it is better that customer can upload a data log with the whole process for us to check the system fault first. Adaption function may not help much but customer can try first. Thanks!

     check your oil filler cap...At times its not seated correctly and will post this code. As for the maf sensor ,two things,first runs live data and check smooth running values and look at fuel trims, If its running neg trims this means the engine is removing fuel do to  extra air.Then unplug the maf sensor and see if the rough idle clears up,if the idle smooths out them maf is bad becuase the substituted value will kick in from the DME. If all else passed smoke the engine and look for cracks in rear breather hose,crankcase lines..hope you find the culprit,
