The expected Mass Air Flow is calculated by volume of the engine, RPM, etc. You can find calculators for this online I guess ? MaxiSys does only have expected and real flow in some software (it is not common use for all brands).
Better to test the sensor with a scope and the standard values (depends on generation of MAF sensor). This is stuff we learn at diagnostic courses. You could take such courses online maybe (?). You can test key on, engine off values and idle as well as peak detect (generally should reach about 4.2-4.5 volts). Also the scope graph line will tell you a lot about how the engine and/or the sensor functions.
