2001 Dodge Ram 2500 not supported?

My AutelMaxiCOM MK808S does not seem to support my 2001 Dodge Ram. I cannot even select a year earlier than 2005.
Do I need an update or did I buy the wrong device? -

Specifically I need to do an active speed control servo test to diagnose a cruise control problem, but it does not seem like this scanner supports anything but the most basic functions. Its not reading ABS or SRS, to say nothing of being able to do active test on speed control server. Any help someone could provide, would be greatly appreciated. -

Hi, no its not supported as a year,it is combined in all the years to 2003 , this means if
you want to read specific things as abs or SRS you must use a older scanner ,a snap
on solis pro or equivalent is perfect to do this Job. The autel you use now is perfect as
of 2002 and not older . -

Thank you for that information, that helps. Its been a real challenge trying to nail down this information.Do you know where I can find one of those other scanners? I am planning on having this truck a long time and I want to be able to diagnose the electrical gremlins that seems to come with age. -

Hi, I know of this problem and yes I have all those scanners for older USA cars, they all
are from snap on,snap on mt1500, snap on solus pro .and more. What you must
search for is a garage or dealer more specialised in USA cars,my garage was in
Holland ,Europe ,I don't know where you are from. -

Hi, if you want to buy a used scanner solus pro, see eBay, a good working one is not
cheap,average $500 is normal and up.they can not be updated anymore,but this is not
neaded when the car is older than 2015.
