How can i get american makes to show up under the correct name?

     I was eventually able to work with a "mercury montego" by pretending it is a ford, but this is a clumsy process.  

    Brand new MX900, with all available vehicle tools installed and fully updated.

    Hi, mercury and Lincoln are divisions under ford , these brands were different in the
    past and do not exist on themselves anymore. All these cars are ford now a days.

    Hi, ford decided to stop mercury as a brand in early 2011. So no mercury anymore.
