What exactly is scn coding used for, which modules needs scn coding or what is the
difference between scn coding and programming. This I think its important for
everybody to know so that everybody can do their own testing and datalogs or
complaint when something is not working/developed. -

SCN coding is the software calibration number to verify the correct program being programming in control modules,All TRP,ECM,TCM,ABS,SBC,and more been add on later model years that ensure no one can tamper the programming or mapping street rod or emissions. -

Thank you carltran . So let me see if I got this correctly. Autel says there is
programming available for mercedes and some members here verified that. So in order
for a module to get programm it has to be scn first. Does this mean scn its available at
the moment or not? Thank you -

New modules must be scn coded.once that's done reprogramming is possible just like all cars. Not sure if you this available yet. -

I am not sure Maxisys pro can do SCN it have to be online SCN, After flash programming then SCN coding to finalize the process if you programming with out SCN the vehicle will not start it must SCN coding that how they verifying the software program to that vehicle was correct. -
