Autel is no longer just  a Small Grey Market Chinese Scanner company that can still just basically copy and thinly veil OE copyrighted intellectual material and J2534 programming files without impunity and fear of legal implications.
With the DS708 success , the aftermarket shops start to bleed away some of the customer pay juice work at the OE  dealer and subscription level and with the Maxi Sys Pro J2534 threatening to syphon a ton more  of subscription based income away from the OE manufacturers, the spectre of The Ford Lawsuit widening to become a class action thing against Autel became very real .
Now that Car companies have plants in China , government official palms can get greased and now it is no longer good to just clone western software, now there are new laws, fines, possible incarceration for what may have once been encouraged in the past .
The Engineers time is now are spread out between more platforms ,  between a rock and a hard place doing what they can with the software to Homogenize it to please the Shirts and Ties in a time frame to avoid more litigation with car makers and covertly and gradually enough not to scare away those who pay the bills. It's an unenviable position for any company to to be in at this stage

I fully understand what you are saying but the least they can do is come clean about what they have done (taken away what we originally paid for) and an explanation (about what they are going to do or intend to do) in the future but all we get is smoke and mirrors (optimising this streamlining that they must think we sailed up the river in a banana boat) or of sub intelligence or something..

i notice things that don't work or are missing every time i pick up the tool.

it would be nice to hear them say ok were guilty we screwed every one over sorry but we had to do it or we would go to jail that i can accept and would get my respect for their honesty..

All you can do is hold off updating or upgrading until you absolutely require newer car coverage and just save the old platform with the back up older software versions and move on to something else.
Next step I'm concerned of is If Autel actually becomes  joined at the hip making boards  and components with OE manufacturers , I wouldn't be surprised if  expired scanners with the early versions of software are left on with internet connectivity, that they might  start experiencing some unexplained activity and old software versions start mysteriously becoming corrupted on these older  tools.

Simple things Support is replying on faster now, but more than once the complicated things take too long for them to reply if at all.

Yes, I too understand complications they seem to face. But they should be more open about it. To me it seems that the logs we send them are really needed to get things back up and running again in better and better conditions. If that is true, they should respond better (even just like 'we received the log and are working on it but cannot tell you when we have a fix yet'. Then you are honest, if you tell me 'this car cannot do this', or 'we cannot support it' , while when I shuffle out the MaxiDas, I can do very same thing without problems.

For me things stay like stated before... Autel made the MaxiDas, they made the older MaxiSys versions, they are very well capable of walking through all functions and check what is missing right now.  No need for help from us on this point. Some other things, yes.

I still love the basics about MaxiSys and am using it often. But too many times lately I need to fall back on other tools. I will keep sending logs, but please Autel, be straight with us so as many of us as possible will do their best to help you make the tool better. And please take us serious, lot's of us are real pro's who know what MaxiSys can and cannot do, what is reasonable and what not, what a car can or cannot do, etc.

i honestly cant answer that question i know nothing about the launch, but if you can wait a few months you will see if any improvements have been made better still get a loan of both from a supplier for a couple of weeks see which suits your needs best.

I have sent your email to sort out these problems and I think you have already received it, but always as before, no response from you, but only here. So I stated here again just for reference:

    1.      2077777 and 2075305

2005 WK-Grand Cherokee, for this car, you sent us two datalogs. Our engineer suggested you to select 2006-KJ to have a try. Our support also sent you several emails about it. From the two datalog, you selected 2005-WK wrongly. But we haven't received your feedback about it. If Maxisys still failed to test this car by selecting 2006-KJ, please send us the datalog. But we think it will work.

    2.      2075071

For this datalog, you left a message that “vin read failed 2002jeep Cherokee”, after checking our engineer, it is because some old vehicles can’t support to read VIN code from OBD.

    3.      2074813

For this Range Rover, we can see that you tested Engine system, but no response. So we can’t locate this problem with the current information. If possible, we hope you can collect more datalogs for testing other modules, like Engine, AT, ABS and SRS. Sorry to keep asking datalogs, because we are software company, all the bugs need to be located by the data. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

Am I the only one to do all of the updates and not really experience any issues?
