lithium polymer battery's are considered Hazmat and they cannot be shipped by air by itself and in bulk. If they were installed in a product then it would not be considered as Hazmat.  If a bulk set a batteries are shipped, they must be shipped by Sea and through a Hazmat shipper and in proper containers. Just look at all the hover board fires from the battery. That is why Support said it may take a while.

We appreciate you guys trying to accommodate us with the battery thing. Maybe moving forward you guys can use a more standard battery that's available in the US already.

when you spend over 1.5k dollars on something you kind of want it to last a while.

That's all fine and dandy maybe you should just install a screen and battery in the plastic body since that seems to be a majority of issues with users.

In our Maxisys Elite, we have improved it on the battery. The battery is detachable on Maxisys Elite.

Thanks Support, that's good to know , and that equates to a more user friendly feature to have as long as the proprietary design battery replacement can be purchased later down the road by the user several years later if needed.

That's nice if your going to buy an elite so the MS908,MS908P and the MS905 are considered throw away scanners when the battery depletes. It doesn't make any sense to update these tools anymore if that's the case. The money to be made with scanners is selling updates as it's only software which you'd be developing along with selling more scanners anyhow. Doesn't seem like an intelligent strategy to pursue as it also creates ill will with your customers. Your choice I guess but the reply doesn't address the topic of the post.

I think you didn't see our reply above. We have found ways to ship some battery repalcement to US already. And Dave08902 is very kind to explain the situation here.

Ok, so how do we find out when they get here by this post or under products accessories for your scanner. I understand completly what Dave posted and that's probably true about Hazmat regulations but please keep us informed.

Now it is in transit at sea. As schedule, it should be available in early March in US.
